USAID to provide Direct Assistance to Afghan Ministries for the People of Afghanistan

Minister of finance Mohammad Omer Zakhilwal   U.S Ambassador to Afghanistan Karl W. Eikenberry and USAID Mission Director Earl Gast signed joint statements on june21 expend future opportunities for direct financial support from USAID to the Afghan ministries, also known as on-budget assistances and Government-to-Government assistances separate statements were signed with the Acting Minister of Education Ghulam Farooq Wardak. Minister of public works Abdul Qudos Hamidi , Minister of Mines Waheedullah Shahrani ,Deputy minister of  communication & IT Wahabudin Sadaat  and Deputy  Minister   of Health Aglah Nadri.

At the beginning Mr. Omer Zhakhilwal gave an unequivocal massage to the line Ministers:”Meet the challenges to increase GIRoA capacity and pledge to our partner so that we can deliver basics services to the people of Afghanistan and USAID will provide more than $90 million for on-budget programs in the first tranche  of direct assistances  

“Today, USAID and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan stand together to build better lives for the people of Afghanistan, “said Ambassador Eikenberry. With the announcement of these projects and the ministries that will manage them, there is a strong massage of hop and commitment for the Afghan People

Latter Deputy Minister of MCIT Mr.Wahabuddin Sadaat said that from the total mentioned assistance $3.9 Million has been allocated for the implementation of e-Governances project Afghanistan and would be spend transparency.
