MCIT extends the contract for the Electronic ID Cards

The contract for the electronic identification Cards between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and GTR Company was extended and signed.

Based on this contract, GTR is required to print electronic ID Cards, to set up systems, to create electronic information banks and electronic government infrastructures. 80% of the works belonging to the electronic ID Cards were provided through the company, and was renewed for the next two years with due consideration for the necessary amendments.

It is worth mentioning that the contract was signed by the National Procurement Office and the distribution of the Electronic ID Cards would start as soon as possible.
