ISAF Assist Nine Postal Trucks to the Ministry of Communication & IT

ISAF Assist Nine postal trucks for the Afghan post department of   Ministry of Communication & IT, to improve mail distribution efficiency and effectiveness at the cost of $420k. These trucks have been given to Minster of Communication & IT Eng. Amirzai Sangin and postal director Mr. Yasin Rahmati.

To mark this occasion a ceremony held in courtyard of MCIT, with the participation of H.E. Eng. Amirzai Sangin Minister of Communication & IT, Deputy Chief of Staff Stability Major General Richard Rossmanith and his team,MCIT board of directors and media representative.

At the beginning of ceremony H.E.Amirzai Sangin said”we   appreciate and thanked the great effort of  ISAF for providing these trucks to MCIT, it will improve our mail distribution efficiency and effectively and also it increase government revenue,and the MCIT Minister mentioned we will  improve postal services  for our people ,postal services are very important in a country now we have 465 post offices at provincial level in Afghanistan ,from last 10 years we did  of rebuild the post offices to make it modern".

Latter Gen.Richard Rossmanith said “The new trucks will help improve Afghan confidence in GIRA’s ability to perform its basic government function by increasing the mail volume, increasing the revenue for Afghan post, and the furthering the reliability of the mail service, and we will continue our help to MCIT in every part”
