Minister of Communications and Information Technology meets with Facebook high ranking officials

Minister of Communications and Information Technology met with high ranking officials of Facebook World Wide Network in Washington on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.

During the meeting issues such as the creation of a Facebook special program on Android and IOS for using Pashto Language in Facebook, supporting internet security projects of MCIT, managing issues in accordance with the culture and traditions of Afghan people, creating secure atmosphere for Facebook search, capacity building staff of the MCIT, promotion of Wi-Fi for the purpose widespread use of internet, the storage of information on the servers of the country aiming promptly response to the Facebook users were discussed.

The minister of Communications and Information Technology also said: that the Facebook authorities welcomed the plans of MCIT and committed, they would not hesitate to cooperating MCIT in this regard.
