Ministry of Communications & IT issues Postal Service license to Afghan Jet Company
Ministry of Communications and IT (MCIT) issued license of delivering Postal service to Afghan Jet Company in a press Conference held at Afghan Post Regulatory Authority (APRA) Conference Hall on July 7, 2013.
In this conference deputy minister technical of MCIT Eng. Baryalay Hassam speaking about the valuable and important role post service in our daily life, said: the aim of the conference is signing agreement with Afghan Jet Company for delivering better postal service. He added beside telecommunication, IT and internet services MICT also tries to improve and boost quality of post services for delivering correspondences and postal items.
Eng. Hassam mentioned that: delivering rapid and express postal services with the aforementioned company will be done within two phase: it will first begin in major provinces and then all around the country. We are trying to extend express post services more quickly.
Then the chairman of Afghan Jet Company expressed his pleasure and said: our goal is to create some job opportunities and provide rapid best quality post service to the people of Afghanistan. He appreciated MCIT for providing convenience competitive circumstances of private sector market.
After that chairman of Afghan post Regulatory Authority (APRA) Mir Abdul Rahman Sadree spoke about the importance of post services and said: it is the place honor, in spite of difficult challenges Afghan Jet Company efforts to deliver service to our citizens.
It is worth saying that there are already seven private postal companies providing service both inside Afghanistan and abroad under the provisions of Afghan Post Regulatory Authority (APRA).
