Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Launches 16-Day Campaign Fighting Violence against Women

The inaugural meeting of the 16-day campaign to eradicate violence against women was held in the presence of the Director of Human Resources, managers and employees of various departments of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in the conference hall of the Ministry on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.
The campaign lasts for 14 days.
In the opening of the event, Head of Human Resources of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Mr. Sayed Massood Samim, while welcoming the participants, stressed the importance of the program, the Law prohibiting Violence against Women and other related laws.
He emphasized the comprehensive cooperation of the leadership and departments of the Ministry of Communications in supporting the implementation of this law.
Also, he reminded that the leadership of the Ministry within the scope of applicable laws, especially the law prohibiting violence against women, to provide a proper and safe working environment for women.
It is worth mentioning that the 16-day campaign to eradicate violence against women is launched every year from November 25 to December 10 (World Human Rights Day) with the aim of eliminating and reducing all forms of violence against women and to eradicate it worldwide.
This campaign aims to say no to the culture of violence and to promote the culture of peace.
