Ministry of Communication and IT signs cooperation agreement with Ministry of Public Health
Minister of Communication and IT (MCIT) H.E Amirzai Sangin and minister of Public Health Mrs. Suraya Dalil signed the agreement of cooperation titled “Information Technology in Hospitals” in a press conference held on Saturday August 3, 2013 at MCIT’s conference hall.
According the agreement 15 hospitals in current year and 78 hospitals in next two years will be connected with domestic and international health centers by Fiber Optic.
Speaking about importance and value of IT services and E-government minister Sangin said: MCIT always tries to deliver better telecommunication and electronic services, we connected the Universities of the country to each other and to the Higher Educational Centers of the world, and now we have the honor to provide IT services to the vital Institution; the hospitals of the country with domestic and International health Service Centers.
He added: that with this the doctors of the country will be able directly has the connection with mentioned Health services for sharing health problems and ideas.
Then the minister Suraya Dalil appreciated endeavors of MCIT and further she said: that this is the first ever our hospitals and health service are interconnected domestic and worldwide.
It is notable that total investment of the project for years (1392,1393,and 1394) are 4 million dollars, and in 1392 for 15 hospitals and centers 250000 dollars are allocated which will funded by MCIT’s Telecommunication Development Fund.
