MCIT-Inaugurates Salaam GSM\3G Network in Kapesa and Panjshir Provinces

 Deputy (Technical) Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) Eng. Baryalay Hassam aiming inauguration of Salaam GSM/3G Network visited Kpesa and Panjshir provinces on March 17–18, 2014.

Eng. Hassam leading a delegation first participated the ceremonies in Kaesa and Panjshir provinces, which were happening on this occasion and faced warm welcome from the official profiles and people of the mentioned provinces.

In these meetings Deputy Minister Eng. Baryalay Hassam briefly spoke about the development and achievement of MCIT in the field of telecommunications and IT. He said: telecommunication and IT have fundamental role in the social – economic, political, cultural, educational and daily life of the people.

Eng. Hassaam give detailed information regarding benefits of Afghan Telecom Salaam Network services; especially for the people, private and public administrations in mentioned provinces. He stressed: MCIT created Salaam 3G aiming to provide better quality with affordable prices, and also it will cause serious competition in telecommunication market of the country. He continued that: MCIT struggles to provide CIT and internet services in every corner of the country and decisively determines to transfer Afghanistan to an information society, for this the contribution of the nation is the most required and necessary.

Eng. Hassaam mentioned: that Afghan Telecom as a government Telecommunication Company created Salaam 3G investing 65 million dollars of its own revenue.

After that governor of Kapesa Mr. Safi and Governor of Panjshir Mr. Abdulrahman Kabiri; and first deputy of the Senate Mohammad Alam Eizedyar appreciated MCIT’S endeavors for development of IT and internet services.
