ICTI Library Named to Engineer Ghulam Ghaws Library

The Library of ICTI was named to the name of Ghulam Ghaws the founder and fomer professor of the Institute During a ceremony held on Sunday, 28th September 2014 which was attended by Minister of Communications and Information Technology H. E. Amirzai Sangin; leadership body of MCIT, professors and students of mentioned Institute.

Speaking at the ceremony H. E. Amirzai Sangin said: “late Ghulam Ghaws was one of the true character and co- founder of the Institute, he was an honest man and did his duty honestly”.

H. E. Sangin added: that the most of those who are pioneers in the field of Information technology and communications today are ICT managers in the country were students and graduated from this ICT institute.

After that Mr. Zahir Ghows the son of Ghulam Ghows who attended the ceremony read biography of his father said: “my father was one of the trained cadre in the field of ICT and spent 30 years of his live serving offspring of the country”.

On behalf of the family Mr. Zahir Ghows expressed gratitude to the leadership of MCIT and said: we will continue our assistance for the richness of the Institute; and he gifted 200 books for the Library.

Then Mr. Sayed Nasim Alavy ATRA policy advisor, Abdul Wakil Shirgul head of ATRA, Gul Ahmad Rastman head of Afghan Telecom Inc. and Abdul Rahman Sadri head of APRA spoke about the character and integrity of Ghows and called him real personality who honestly served his nation.
