Fiber Optic Project opens in Daikundi Province
Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) H. E. Amirzai Sangin leading a deligation visited Dikundi province on Sunday 25 August 2013.
In this visit minister Amir Sangin inaugurated Fiber Optic project in Dai Kundi province.
H. E. Sangin and his companion delegation faced warm welcome by the officials and people of Dikundi province at a ceremony, which was held on this occasion. Then the Member of Parliament (Lower House) Asadullah Sa’adati praised telecommunication and IT progress made at the national level and called minister Sangin for more attention to Dai Kundi province.
Then Eng. Sangin appreciated warm welcome of the people and ensured them about concerns beyond 2014.
Engineer Sangin also talked about the growth of telecommunications and IT throughout the country and said: to date we have satisfying progress comparing with neighboring countries. He added there are 20 million telephone subscribers and over two billion dollars investments in the filled of Telecommunications and Information Technology in our country and the large number of people are provided direct and indirect jobs. He said 80% of people will soon find an access to internet services and 3G facilities. Also he highlighted the ongoing process of creating e-governance and converting analog TV system into digital.
Implying to the advancement of telecommunication and internet in Dai Kundi province he said: recently, 7 towers of TDF project have been built and additional contract of 22 towers has signed, with installation of these towers the main problems of the province will be solved.
And also he mentioned that project of Optic Fiber is approximately completed, with Fiber Optic connection all the provinces of the country broad facilities will be created in the field of education, higher education, public health and etc.
