Acting minister of Communications and IT meets with general director of Etisalat Company

Mohammad Fahim Hashimi acting minister Communications and Information Technology met with director general of Etisalat Telecommunications Company Mr. Yusuf al-Saeed and Chief Executive of the Company Mr. Matthew Willsher on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.
At the meeting both sides discussed the issues such as improving services, decreasing the prices of Internet services and cooperation in the collection of 10% Telecommunication services tax.
Minister Hashimi said that MCIT is determined to collecting the 10% telecom services tax in a transparent manner and providing better quality services at affordable prices.
Also he urged that the telecommunications companies to take all necessary measures to ensure transparency of the tax collection.
Subsequently, Etisalat Telecommunication Company’s officials pledged that they would not hesitate to cooperate in the transparency and improvement of telecommunication and Internet services.
