30 Percent Decline In Internet Prices of Salaam and Afghan Telecom Networks:

Mohammad Fahim Hashimi acting minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) officially announced lowering wholesale and retail rates for internet of Salaam and Afghan Telecom Companies during a press Conference.
Speaking at the meeting, minister Hashimi said that: "The Internet is one of the biggest needs of the Afghan people right now as the demand for quality, faster and reasonable internet grows, we are putting measures in place to ensure affordable internet services and dynamic market in Afghanistan.
He stated that: MCIT reduced the wholesale price of Afghan Telecom by 30% and the retail price of the Salaam telecommunications company by 20 percent.
The prices we set today will encourage a more robust and competitive marketplace in Afghanistan as well He said.
