The Ministry of communication and IT has entered in to contract with UNU/IIST on 25 February 2009, which was successfully completed on July 2011.

The mission of the e-Gov.AF project was to provide guidance and support in planning and implementing the nation e-government vision, strategy and program development process.

Based on contract the following training were covered by UNU-IIST.

1. Training on Readiness and need assessment for implementation of e-government Master plan.
2. Training on Research Method logy for e-Gov. implementation.
3. Training on strategy Development for e-Gov. in Afghanistan.
4. Training of program development.
5. Training on Human .Capacity Development.
6. Training on organizational Capacity Development of MCIT

UNU/IIST has conducted 4 workshops where various entities form the public and private sector and as well form the civil society participated. The workshops helped MCIT and UNU/IIST to gather the comments and recommendation about the future e-gov vision for Afghanistan.

Ministry of communication and IT found UNU/IIST a very strong partner and is very happy to have such entity work on the e- gov strategic master plan for Afghanistan.

The quality of work produced by UNU/IIST is very high and is based on the ground reality of the country.

Ministry of communication and IT will continue to choose UNU/IIST as e-gov partner in future and once again thank them for implementing a successful project with us.
