The Minister of Communications and IT participates in GSMA Ministerial Meeting and the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain
The meeting, which starts from June 28 to 30, brings together influential figures from around the world, including ministers of telecommunications, heads of departments and telecommunications companies, and international organizations, to discuss information technology and communication and share their experiences.
The central purpose and focus of this meeting is to connect the whole world through the digital system and creation an inclusive system to meet today's human needs.
In addition to attending ministerial meetings, Masooma Khavari will hold a series of important meetings with GSMA officials, high-ranking representatives of countries, and reputable international organizations active in the field of information and communication technology.
To strengthen and accelerate the creation of digital infrastructure as a major and essential part of the mission of the MCIT will try to provide the environment for better development in the telecommunications sector and information technology following today's needs.
In addition to the above-mentioned, Masooma Khavari will attend a series of technical and joint meetings on how to connect Afghanistan through the digital system, as well as the summit on digital health.
Information security, innovation, digital transformation and information and communication technology and their application in areas required by society, including economics, trade, agriculture, health, education are other important issues that will be discussed in this meeting to find appropriate solutions.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the importance and effective use of information technology and the creation of digital infrastructure have become more and more necessary to make the field of economic activities and social welfare more favorable through policy making and implementation of digital systems.
